You value your privacy. So do we. This notice explains, plainly, what information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We’ll keep it current, and we’ll update it whenever the way we handle your data changes.
We collect only what we need — mostly the details you give us when you get in touch, plus some standard information your browser shares when you visit our site. We use it to do our work, support you, and stay in touch about things you’ve asked about. We don’t sell your personal information to anyone. We store it securely in Australia, keep it only as long as we have a reason to, and we’ll hand it over or delete it whenever you ask.
The sections below set this out in full.
In this notice:
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2.1 What you give us. When you fill in a form on our site, email us, or work with us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, your company, your email address and phone number, and whatever you tell us about what you’re working on.
2.2 What we collect automatically. Like most websites, ours records some technical information when you visit, and stores it in log files. That can include your IP address, your approximate location, your browser type and operating system, and which pages you look at. We use this to keep the site running, diagnose problems, understand broad trends, and make the site more useful.
2.3 What we learn elsewhere. Occasionally we receive information about you from third parties — for example, details about your role, employer, or industry — or we draw on publicly available professional sources such as LinkedIn.
We use the information we collect to:
You can opt out of our updates at any time, and we’ll act on it.
We share your personal information only in specific situations:
We may also share aggregated, de-identified information — data that can’t be traced back to you — with partners or providers for analysis and marketing.
If you share something from our site through a third-party service like LinkedIn, that service’s own privacy policy applies to what happens next, so it’s worth a read.
We never sell your personal information.
We store your personal information on secure, cloud-based servers located in Australia. The third parties who host it use it only to store and retrieve it safely on our behalf.
We keep client data for as long as our working relationship lasts, and for a reasonable period afterwards, for record-keeping and analysis. We keep prospect data only while it still serves a genuine business purpose, then remove it. If you’d like your data deleted sooner, make a verified request and we’ll take care of it.
Much of our work involves being trusted with confidential information, including our clients’ data and, sometimes, their customers’ data. We take that trust seriously, and we protect that information with the same care we apply to our own:
You can ask us to:
Just contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first, and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
If you have a question about your privacy, or you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please get in touch — we’d genuinely like the chance to put it right.
